This kit is an assembly of (2) or (4) heavy duty corner posts with sleeves, arms and associated hardware and will make (2) or (4) corner post assemblies. This kit is intended for use on corners in larger enclosures. Corners are subject to more stress than line posts and when fence lines are longer, such as in larger multiple kit enclosures, having a stronger post can make your enclosure more secure. These posts are especially recommended for larger enclosures in areas that receive significant snow especially heavy wet snow.
The Corner Posts are 21% larger in diameter and 30% thicker than our standard posts making the significantly stronger. The sleeves are larger in diameter to match the larger diameter of the posts and are 6" longer overall than our standard sleeve.
Recommended Use - We do not include Heavy Duty Corner Posts inside our Freestanding Fencing System kits. The use of corner posts are situational to your specific layout plan. They are recommended to be used on any corner that represents the beginning or end a 50 foot or longer straight span. So if your enclosure is made up of spans and several turns that never surpass 50ft, then corner posts are not generally required (but, they will always help in terms of durability - your Purrfect Fence will Last Longer because of them).
However, if you plan to have an enclosure that is 70ft x 30ft x 70ft, for example, and one side as your home, then (2) Heavy Duty Corner posts would be recommended (where the 70ft sections meet the 30ft sections.) Heavy Duty Corner Posts are not used where the fence meets buildings or your home since those standard posts will be secured well to this building/home instead.
Using this same example, but where all four sides of the enclosure are made with Purrfect Fence, it would be recommended to use a Heavy Duty Corner Post on all (4) corners since no post will be secured directly to a building/home.
The heavy-duty corner posts improve the durability over time, especially in areas that receive heavy snow.

We strongly caution you if using individual components like the one shown here to build your own enclosure from components purchased elsewhere. The effectiveness of the system has been extensively tested (and proven) when the proper components including spring loaded arms, brackets, specially designed & weighted mesh fencing, posts, sleeves, ties, and hardware are used together. Failure to follow our recommendation will almost certainly put your pet at risk.
